5th Annual Corinth Dragon Dash
5K and 1-Mile Fun Run

On Saturday, May 3, 2008, we will be holding our 5th Annual Corinth Dragon Dash (formerly the Corinth Fun Run). Start time is 7:45am. Don't miss out on this great family event! There's something for everyone - RUN, WALK, or VOLUNTEER!

New for 2008!

Improvements for 2008 make the Dragon Dash an excellent choice for everyone, from the competitive runner to the casual jogger or walker.

• New 5K and 1-mile courses through the scenic neighborhoods of Old Leawood
• USATF certified 5K course
• Chip timing for both the 5K and 1-mile
• More family fun than ever before - live music by Dino O'Dell & the Veloci-Rappers, face painting, professional photos with family and friends, and more!

And, just like last year, the Dragon Dash will be followed by an awesome breakfast for all participants provided by Great Harvest Bread Co. and several other generous sponsors. We will also hold our annual Kids' Dash after the race for boys and girls 6th grade and under.

Packet Pick-Up and Late Registration

On-line registration for the Corinth Dragon Dash is no longer available.
Entries may be hand-delivered to the school office anytime this week or turned in at packet pick-up on Friday, May 2nd.

Packet pick-up will be held at Corinth Elementary, 8301 Mission Road, on Friday May 2nd as well as on race day. Runners' packets will be available for pick-up and walk-in registrations will be accepted. Times are as follows:

• Friday, May 2nd
  • 7:30 am - 8:30 am
  • 10:45 am - 1:00 pm
  • 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm

  • 6:30 am - 7:15 am

• Photo order deadline is Friday, May 16, 2008.
• Photos will be distributed to Corinth families via backpack mail on May 22, 2008.
• Non-Corinth families may pick up their photos in the office at Corinth Elementary School between May 22, 2008 and May 28, 2008.
• Siebs Photo is donating all proceeds from photo sales back to the Corinth Education Foundation.

What It's All About

The Corinth Dragon Dash is a benefit for the Corinth Education Foundation, a 501(c)3 corporation. The funds raised by this event fund Spanish education, a two-and-a-half-day-per-week counselor, and other educational services that are not paid for by the school district, but greatly enhance the learning environment and well being of our students.

How to Get Involved

• Register now to run or walk - see links to the right to register on-line or print out a brochure and mail in your entry. Registrations must be received by April 11th, 2008 to guarantee a t-shirt.
• Volunteer on race day! If you can help, follow the link to the right to send an email to our Volunteer Coordinator. An event as big as this requires many volunteers!
